Finding Light in the Chaos: Preparing for Winter Wonderland with Bodega Blooms
Share
I find myself in the same whirlwind again — surrounded by candles, packaging, and ideas — wondering how to make it all come together. My workshop looks like a creative explosion (in the best and worst way), and as I sift through scents and supplies, I can’t help but ask myself: Am I really going to pull it off again this year?
The truth is, the struggle is real. Balancing a full-time career and running a small business isn’t for the faint of heart. I thought that by now — nearly one year into Bodega Blooms’ journey — I’d have a perfect system in place. A marketing plan ready by November, a smooth setup for every event, and a calendar that makes sense. Instead, it often feels like I’m racing against the clock, trying to catch the window of opportunity before it closes.
But then I pause.
Maybe I’m being too hard on myself. Maybe this season isn’t about perfection but progression — about building from one year to the next. Every pop-up, every market, every candle poured has been a learning experience and a stepping stone.
And truthfully, I have grown.
This year, I know my customers better — what they love, what they reach for, what brings a smile to their face. I’ve learned that Nochebuena, Central Park Pine, and Bibaporru are must-haves. I’ve expanded with thoughtful gifts for men and created mystery boxes to keep things fun and spontaneous. I’ve realized how powerful clear signage and storytelling are — how each candle speaks, not just through scent, but through the story it carries.
So yes, the workshop might still look like chaos some days. But beneath it all, there’s purpose, passion, and a growing rhythm.
Here’s to another season of light, lessons, and little wins.
