Finding My Voice, One Post at a Time

This quarter has stretched me in ways I never expected. Running Bodega Blooms has been a journey filled with creativity, long nights, and so much heart—but if I’m being honest, the hardest part hasn’t been the candles, the scents, or the business itself. It’s been showing up.
I’m an introvert at my core, and putting myself out there on social media feels like stepping into a spotlight I never asked for. Whenever I hit "record," I wrestle with self-conscious thoughts—am I appealing enough? Is my brand resonating? Does what I have to say even matter?
But here’s the truth: I’m not doing this just to sell candles. My heart is to document my journey so that the people I hope to empower can see that I’ve walked this path too—the fear, the doubt, the small wins, the big leaps. I want them to know that it’s okay to feel unsure and still show up anyway.
This road is both exhausting and exhilarating. Some days, I feel like I’ve found my stride; others, I wonder if I’m doing enough. But we aren’t meant to do this alone. We need people who push us, who remind us why we started when we’re tempted to shrink back.
There’s one scripture that has been sitting in my heart lately:
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." – Proverbs 18:21
There is power in speaking life into your journey—into your business, your dreams, and your purpose. The words we tell ourselves shape the future we walk into.
So, I’m choosing to speak boldly. To show up, even when it’s uncomfortable. To share, even when I wonder if anyone is listening. Because I know that growth isn’t about waiting until you feel ready—it’s about stepping forward, even when you don’t.
If you’re reading this and feeling that same hesitation in your own journey, let this be your reminder: you are more than enough, and your story is worth telling.
Let’s keep pushing forward together.
